For the last 10 years, the Institute has been committed to serving its community and fulfilling the educational aspect of its mission through its Internship program. Undergraduate pre-med, nursing, medical students and Plastic Surgery residents have been a regular part of the team for varying periods of time over the years. This competitive program gives students from various disciplines the opportunity to learn about the delivery of Cosmetic Surgery services, participate in clinical research projects, and to observe in-office and hospital based procedures.

Ms. Jacqueline Rose, a second year biology major at GWU, recently had the opportunity to complete a Plastic Surgery mini-internship during her Christmas break. During her time at the Institute she assisted the administrative staff, shadowed Drs. Bitar & Centeno, and observed in office injectable, laser and facial surgery procedures. Jackie felt “The environment was super friendly, and a great learning environment…I especially enjoyed watching surgery”. The daughter of Mr. John Rose & Mrs. Mahvesh Rose of Vienna, VA, Jacqueline aspires to a career in the sciences upon completion of her undergraduate degree.
